The Corn and Apple

The Corn and Apple is my home-town’s annual summer festival. Until 3 years ago, I’d never missed a year. I was hoping there was a small chance my wife and I might be able to make the 1,200 kilometer journey to Morden, Manitoba this year – but it didn’t happen. What did happen instead was, my parents decided to come up to Lethbridge and visit us for the same week. In fact, I just finished eating corn on the cob (Morden corn) which my mother prepared for lunch today.
